Shipping Procedures

Shipping Confirmation Emails

We send you a shipping confirmation email when all or part of your order is shipped and will include the tracking number.

Shipping of Multiple Packages

If your order includes several items, they may ship separately and at different times to ensure timely delivery. Items that ship to the same location are grouped together to reduce shipping costs. Our shipping confirmation emails will let you know how much of your order has shipped.

Delivery of Your Package(s)

We process, ship, and deliver packages Monday through Friday. At this time, we do not offer shipping or delivery on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays. Your order may be delayed if your shipping address is different from your billing address in order to confirm and ensure the security of your credit information.

Product Return & Refund Policy

Customers may only purchase or order items for non-commercial and lawful purposes and any other use is not permitted. Customers agree to all charges noted herein as payable by the customer. You must be 18 or older to purchase from the website. Any items purchased on this website will not be delivered to an address outside of Canada.

Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. may correct errors or inaccuracies and change or update information on this website at any time without notice, including prices and availability of items. All prices on this website are in Canadian dollars and will be processed in Canadian dollars. Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. will not pass ownership or title of any product or order until payment has been received in full.

Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. reserves the right to limit the quantities of certain items for purchase through this website. Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. will use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver items as quickly and efficiently as possible and within time periods indicated; however, Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. will not be responsible for any delivery delays beyond the control of Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. and will notify the customer of any delays as soon as possible. Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. will provide shipment tracking information when applicable and Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. is not responsible for lost or stolen shipments.

Returns to Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. will not be accepted after 30 days of invoice date. Any returns of product to Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. must be approved of by Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. and will be subject to inspection by Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. that the product was not opened, utilized, or damaged in order for the customer to receive a refund. Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. reserves the right to deny customers of a refund for any reason. Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. will apply a twenty percent (20%) restocking fee to all returned orders.

Course – Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you are not able to attend the course you registered for, you must provide Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. with at least 5 business days of your cancellation in writing by email (tom@restarttheheart.ca) prior to the start time of course, or the full cost of training based on the confirmed number of participants will apply and you will not be eligible for a refund.

If sufficient advance notice is provided, Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. will refund 100% of the course fee paid. A letter of cancellation will be issued with a unique cancellation code and a refund will be processed. Participants wishing to reschedule have the option to apply their fee as a credit against a subsequent Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. training course within 2 months of the date of the canceled course subject to a $50 administration fee.

If the agreed upon number of participants is lesser than the individuals present for the training (no show, no warning, absent) the customer will be charged based on the previously arranged and discussed participants.

Some courses have a required minimum number of participants. If Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. must reschedule a course for this or any other reason, Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. will reschedule the course as soon as possible but participants will be given the option for a refund.

A service charge of 3.5% of the total bill may be charged to process credit card payments. 

Event – Cancellation & Refund

5 business days are required for cancellation or date change of your event in writing, or a $500 cancellation fee will apply. If Restart the Heart First Aid is notified of a cancellation within 2 business days or less, prior to the start time of the event, the full cost based on the confirmed number of hours will apply. 30-50% of the total cost of the event may be charged upfront.

The event sponsor is responsible for additional charges over and above the total time that may result from any coverage that extends past the contract time at a double hourly rate. A service charge of 3.5% of the total bill may be charged to process credit card payments. 

Be advised, if the event is only accessible through paid parking, the event organizers will be responsible for payment. 

Policy for Late/Absent Participant

Policy for Late Participants

If a participant arrives past the scheduled training session date start time (10 minutes grace period), participants will not be permitted to attend the scheduled training session and will be required to reschedule. A $50 non-refundable fee to re-schedule into the next available training session will apply. No refund will be given.

Policy for Absent Participants with No Written Notice

Participants who do not attend the scheduled training session, will be given a grade of ‘0’, the course status will reflect ‘Fail’. No refund will be given.

Policy for Absent Participants Due to an Emergency

Participants must advise Restart the Heart First Aid Inc. immediately if they are unable to attend a scheduled training session due to an emergency. A $50 non-refundable fee to re-schedule and attend the next available training session will be waived. No refund will be given.

Cancellation and rescheduling are permitted; you must provide 5 days notification prior to the start of the course date by notifying our office.

No refunds will be granted for late arrivals or failure to attend your scheduled course. Please note you will be charged the full amount of the course to reschedule for another date. 

A full refund will be provided for course cancelled by the student/business more than 5 business days prior to the course start date. There are no partial refunds. All requests for refunds must be submitted by email to tom@restarttheheart.ca.

Please provide Restart the Heart First Aid five business days notice if there are to be changes to this invoice. Cancellations less than five business days of the training will not be refunded and will be charged accordingly. Payment is due within five business days of the completed service. There may be a four-participant minimum charge to the invoice.
